Hong Kong has the big city specials like smog, odour and an insane love of clatter. But it’s also efficient, hushed and peaceful: the transport network is excellent, the shopping centers are sublime, and the temples and quiet corners of parks are contemplative oases. The best thing about being in Hong Kong is being mixed up and fired by the confluences and contradictions of a Chinese city with multi-Asian and Western elements. Hong Kong is divided into four main areas- Kowloon, Hong Kong Island, the New Territories and the Outlying Islands. Hong Kong is one of the world’s shopping capitals.

Visa	: Myanmar Passport holders require visa which can be obtained at the Embassy of China. Visitors from most countries can enter Hong Kong without a visa for periods of seven days to six months, depending on nationality. Check with any Chinese Embassy of Consulate for the latest status.
Time Zone	: GMT/ UTC +8
When to go	: Hong Kong is an all-year-round destination. Weather wise, October, November and December are the best. Travel can be difficult during Chinese New Year in late January or early February.
Currency	: Hong Kong Dollar (HKD)
Airport tax	: Airport Tax (HKD33) is levied at the ticket.
Languages	: Cantonese and Mandarin are the main languages. English is also widely spoken. There will be no problems in communicating with people in most hotels, restaurants and even some taxis.
Electricity	: 220 volts AC, 50HZ
Must visit	: Hong Kong Island, Repluse Bay, Tsim Sha Tsui, the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, the Space Museum, Victoria Peak and Kawloon.
